A group of Lander University business students recently received the Cecil J. and Jean T. McFerrin Scholarship, established in 1988 by Jean and Cecil McFerrin. Jean McFerrin, a 1948 Lander graduate, maintained close ties with her alma mater and held positions with the Lander Alumni Association, The Lander Foundation and the Lander Board of Trustees.
Among the recipients are: Christine Bedenbaugh of Prosperity, pictured center, a business administration major with accounting emphasis; and Jessica Schmitt of Chapin, right, a business administration major with marketing/management emphasis.
