While sharing their talent with Greenwood-Lander Performing Arts patrons was the primary focus of a Feb. 10 visit by members of the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin, the group's founder and director, Misha Rachlevsky, passed along some musical knowledge to area strings students in the form of a master class on the Lander University stage. Sponsored by Dr. Lorraine Angelino, the class was offered to 25 7th through 9th-graders currently attending District 50's Arts, Communication and Theatre School (ACTS). Students are currently studying strings under ACTS instructor Sarah Morris. Pictured, Rachlevsky, left, directs young violinist and Brewer Middle School student Courtney Shearer.
