Lander University held its annual retiree's brunch on Thursday, April 26, honoring members of the faculty and staff, most of whom spent many years in the classroom, administrative positions and elsewhere on campus.
Dr. Daniel Ball told the gathering, "The people in this room did a lot of the groundwork to help our campus grow and mature. Your efforts have given value to the degrees our students earn."
Ball used the occasion to deliver informal remarks outlining some of the university's ongoing initiatives and plans for the future, and to answer questions.
The event is held each year to thank retirees. It also provides an opportunity for those who had worked at Lander to renew acquaintances with their former colleagues. More than 200 retirees were invited to attend.
