The Monsanto Gallery at Lander University is featuring an exhibit by four 2012 graduates of the university's Master in Arts Teaching program.
Assistant professor of art Elizabeth Snipes said the exhibit showcases art that the students completed over the last 14 months, and that viewers will be encouraged to interact with the artwork. She added, "The organization of exhibition is highly creative, engaging, intellectually stimulating and flat-out fun."
Snipes said the artwork is by Emily Berry, Gabriella Contreras, John Gullick and Mabry Pataro MacGregor and illustrates the strength of Lander's master of art in teaching program.
The public is invited to an opening reception on Wednesday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Monsanto Gallery, which is located in the Grier Student Center at Lander. The Gallery is open Mondays through Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The exhibit will run through July 27.
