Six Lander University psychology students earned second-place honors in a highly competitive quiz bowl sponsored by the South Carolina Psychological Association.
The quiz was the culmination of the SCPA's annual Academic Day in Columbia on Nov. 5, which attracted teams from colleges and universities throughout South Carolina. The day also featured a panel discussion about career and graduate school opportunities in psychology.
During the quiz, team members answered questions spanning the breadth of academic psychology. The University of South Carolina team won first-place, and Limestone College came in third. Other participating schools were Newberry College, The Citadel and USC Beaufort.
