An evening of woodwinds, brass and percussion will delight music lovers when the Lander University Wind Ensemble takes the stage on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Dr. Reed Gallo, associate professor of music, will conduct the ensemble which features selections by American composers Claude T. Smith, Robert Jager and Maurice Gardner. One of the highlights of the concert is the timpani solo performed by Matthew Bratton, of Clover, a senior music major at the university.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. in the Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the community. The concert is FALS-approved for Lander students.
