Area high school students and their parents are invited to attend College Night on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 6-7:30 p.m. in Finis Horne Arena on the campus of Lander University.
Prospective college students will have the opportunity to interact with recruiters from more than 40 colleges and universities across the state. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the application process, admissions requirements, programs of study, tuition fees, campus housing and more. Financial aid counselors will be available to offer advice on how and when to apply for assistance to help cover the cost of college expenses.
Among the dozens of public and private institutions registered to attend are Lander University, Piedmont Technical College, Anderson University, Erskine College, Newberry College, Winthrop University, Presbyterian College, The Citadel, Clemson University and the University of South Carolina.
Organized by Lander University's Office of Admissions, the annual event is designed to be a convenient way for college seekers and their families to learn about the many educational opportunities available in the state and across the region. It is sponsored by the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO).
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 864-388-8307.
