Approximately 300 participants took part in Lander University's annual Pumpkin Carving and Moonshine Run/Walk event on Monday, Oct. 28. Organized by Lander's Department of Student Affairs, the event is designed to promote healthier lifestyles mixed with a fun Halloween atmosphere. Participants dressed up with glow sticks and face paint as they dashed across the three-mile route around campus. Katie Abare, a Lander student from Greenville, finished first among female walkers and runners, while Lander alumnus Dylan Scott finished first among males.
