Lander University's Assembly Plaza was filled with hundreds of community friends, students, faculty, staff and their families for the fifth annual Holiday Tree Lighting celebration. Attractions included pictures with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, a Ferris wheel, ornament decorations, an ugly sweater contest and a life-size step inside snow globe. Attendees also enjoyed performances from the Lander Rockettes; the university's Minorities on the Move Choir; the Baptist Collegiate Ministry Praise Band; and Jacob Mitchell, winner of the 2019 Lander's Got Talent competition.
