Lander University's Orientation Leadership Team wraps up a school supply drive on Tuesday. Donations such as paper, pencils, binders, notebooks and other school supplies were collected between March 25 and April 13. Supplies collected during the nearly three-week effort will be donated to the local Rice Elementary School of Greenwood School District 50. The drive was led by the Orientation Leadership Team's Service Committee, comprised of freshman Lillian Strawn (left), junior Maria Martinez Contreras (center left), sophomore Brandon Weeks (center right) and sophomore Kylie Groomes (right). "The group of four planned it all," said Dr. Demario Watts, director of Student Life and Orientation. Watts said that although the Service Committee planned it, "a lot of fellow peers" from the Orientation Leadership team jumped in to help, and added that "they've been a great little family."
