Lander University student, Thomas Histon, of Greenville, looks through a garment rack during the Teacher Clothes Closet on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The closet is sponsored by the Palmetto State Teachers Association and offers education students an opportunity to get their hands on workplace attire at no cost to them. “Clothes aren’t really the first thing you think of when you’re getting ready to join the workforce,” said Histon. “Teaching jobs have dress codes, so it’s nice that we have a way to start getting ready for our jobs.” While the Teacher Clothes Closet is aimed primarily at those entering the field of education and teaching post-graduation, any student at the University is welcome to acquire clothing.
