Lander University’s Office of Career Services and Student Employment hosted the Healthcare Recruitment Fair on Nov. 14 in the Grier Student Center Commons. Representatives from nearly 20 employers were on hand for students to get to know.
“Our career fairs have proven successful for our students,” said Amanda Morgan, director of Career Services. “It’s important to us as an institution that we provide students with not just an education, but the chance to take their skills to their respective markets as well.”
Janet Belew, nursing student coordinator for McLeod Health and L. Michelle Logan-Owens, chief operating officer of McLeod Health, were two representatives of many at the fair. “We have more than 800 physicians and 2,000 nurses,” said Belew. “We’re constantly looking to bring in the best talents.”
