Graduating seniors filed into Centennial Hall on Tuesday, April 11, to hear Professor of Accounting Dr. Gail Moore talk about life after Lander. Topics discussed included paycheck withholdings, the high cost of living and the need to save for retirement. Moore, who spoke in conjunction with Senior Week, told audience members that the money they will make from their first job is often not as much as it seems, and she encouraged them to continue driving their present vehicle, rather than immediately buying a new one. “You don’t want to go into debt over your car,” she said. Occasionally splurging on something is fine, she said, “if the numbers work, but some weeks, the numbers are not going to work.”
