Lander University has selected five employees to receive Staff Excellence Awards in recognition of their outstanding level of professionalism.
Dr. Richard Cosentino, Lander University president, praised staff for their commitment to the University’s students, and for working to improve the academic and student life experience.
“I hear many stories about how you are serving our students … and how you spend time with them,” he said. “I am grateful. The best ideas we get for our campus come from you.”
The honorees include Hannah McQueen, assistant director of student life, Campus Recreation & Intramurals; Awaili Thomas-Quarles, administrative assistant, University Police; Grant Stone, access services specialist, Jackson Library; Anissa Lawrence, academic transfer coordinator, Student Success Center; and Zakiyyah Sloan, financial aid counselor, Office of Financial Aid.
