It took a little longer to find a parking spot today (Jan. 8) at Lander University. That is because winter break has officially ended, and the Spring Semester officially has begun with the first day of classes. For most students, the new academic sessions signify a change in their daily routine to accommodate new and challenging classes. It is also a time for catching up with friends, making plans for academics, and looking forward to fresh opportunities. Garrett Smith, A senior business major from Charlotte, N.C. and a member of the Lander’s bass fishing team, the Bearcat Anglers, says he is looking forward to traveling to Texas and Tennessee for tournaments. A common theme heard around campus today was, “Let’s Finish the Year Strong.”
