As many high school seniors begin receiving college acceptances for the 2024-25 academic year, Lander University invites current sophomore and junior high school students to get a head start on college coursework through dual enrollment courses offered online and on-campus.
Dual enrollment students can take up to six hours (two classes) per semester tuition free. Qualifying students (who must have a weighted GPA of 3.25 or higher) will only need to pay for books and course-related fees, if applicable. All available dual enrollment courses are taught by Lander’s experienced faculty and are seamlessly transferrable to colleges and universities throughout South Carolina.
“Our dual enrollment offerings are an important way to help South Carolina students get a ‘head start’ on their college journey,” said Dr. Todd Gambill, vice president for Enrollment and Access Management at Lander. “These outstanding classes not only help build their academic foundation, but also allow them to ‘bank’ college credits, which can help them receive and maintain state scholarships.”
Space for dual enrollment is limited, and appointments for priority registration are currently being scheduled for March 4-8. Interested students are encouraged to apply early by submitting an application as a non-degree seeking student. Admissions counselors at Lander are available to help students navigate the dual enrollment application process.
