The community is invited to join the Lander University Wind Ensemble for its first performance of the Spring 2024 semester Thursday, February 29, at 7 p.m. in the Josephine B. Abney Cultural Center Auditorium at Lander. This event is free and open to the public.
Members of the Lander University Wind Ensemble have enjoyed working on the selections for their upcoming concert, titled “Animals.” The evening will feature arrangements such as Saint-Saens’ “Carnival of the Animals,” Alfred Reed’s “Hounds of Spring,” and highlights from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats.” Other selections include “Blue Goose Rag,” “Dancing with Animals,” and “Midnight Ride.”
