The community is invited to join the Lander University College of Arts and Humanities for “An Evening with Emerging Artists” on the Lander campus Thursday, November 21. The event will feature student artwork, as well as the final performance of the semester for the Lander University Wind Ensemble.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the Department of Art + Design will host a reception for “Triads,” a BFA/BA exhibition featuring the work of student artists Sacha ‘D Anderson, Ellie Maxwell and Arl Sease. The reception will be held in the Lander Art Gallery on the first floor of the Abney Cultural Center on the Lander campus.
The exhibition will be on display beginning November 18 through December 3, and the gallery is open on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Then at 7:00 p.m., participants are invited to a special performance by the Lander University Wind Ensemble in the Abney Cultural Center Auditorium. The concert will feature selections such as “Danse Macabre,” by Saint-Saëns; “Suit of Old American Dances,” by Robert Russell Bennett; “Soireés Musicales,” by Rossini; and many more.
