[00:14] Narrator: Lander 2Day is a mix of campus news and short stories in two minutes or less.

[00:21] Narrator: Lander has reached the highest enrollment in its 154-year history, with 4,810 students enrolled this fall. That includes a record 1,033 first-time freshmen and marks the University’s 11th consecutive year of enrollment growth.

[00:39] Narrator: Since 2015, Lander’s enrollment has grown by an impressive 78 percent.

[00:44] Narrator: For Lander’s newest students, those record numbers represent something much more personal: the beginning of their Bearcat experience.

[00:51] Narrator: During Lander Launch, new students spent their first days on campus building connections, learning traditions and discovering what it means to be part of the Lander community.

[01:01] Narrator: The experience helps students transition into college life while encouraging them to get involved and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

[01:09] Narrator: For freshman nursing major MaKenzie Kirksey, arriving at Lander represents a milestone years in the making.

[01:16] Narrator: After overcoming significant adversity, Kirksey is pursuing her dream of becoming a NICU nurse with support from United Community and a Lander Alumni donor who helped make her college journey possible.

[01:28] Narrator: Her story is a powerful reminder that behind Lander’s record-breaking enrollment numbers are thousands of individuals with their own stories, goals and dreams.
