Lander University's Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Business Administration lets students advance their careers by earning a bachelor's degree while gaining the essential advanced managerial and analytical skills needed in the workforce.

How the Degree is Offered

There are two options for you to choose from. The BAS in business administration is offered as a 100% online program for students located anywhere and is also offered as in a blended/hybrid environment at the University Center of Greenville.

Designed for Transfer Students

This program is ideal for students who already have some credit and want to complete a college degree. The BAS program is well suited for students who are holders of AAS degrees who need a baccalaureate degree to advance in their careers. Additionally, students with a technical or professional background may choose this degree, as they can complete the first two years at the technical school, community college or other similar two- or four-year institution, and transfer into this degree completion program. It also provides students who have undergraduate credits (and no degree) from an accredited institution a pathway for completion of a baccalaureate degree.

While students can sometimes encounter difficulties transferring credits toward a bachelor's degree, Lander's BAS degree offers an improved path toward success. By integrating a student's entire two-year degree or additional credits into this degree program, students have the ability to complete the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration program in under two years.

Benefits a Variety of Careers

Students in the BAS Business Administration program will sharpen additional conceptual and analytical knowledge and skills in business and marketing beyond their technical education and training. Many management and administrative positions require a baccalaureate degree to even be considered, and holders of a BAS degree have a wide variety of employment options in many different fields, especially entry-level management or supervisory positions. Other common positions are in health care, construction, network administration/management, manufacturing and sustainability. The degree is especially helpful for individuals who have the clinical or field knowledge backgrounds to properly function in their position, but lack leadership and business knowledge.

Through our existing partnerships with local business organizations and continuing relationships with future industry partners, the BAS in Business Administration degree would be ideal for individuals seeking to advance their careers in supervisory and managerial positions with a minimum education requirement of a bachelor's degree in business.
