Facilities

The 37-acre facility, located on the campus of Burton Center in Greenwood, houses the Therapeutic Riding Program and serves as the home base for the university's Equestrian Team. The center also serves as a dynamic learning environment for equine-related academic opportunities within Lander's Therapeutic Horsemanship minor.

Amenities

The Main Barn, which consists of (10) 12'x12' matted stalls, (2) hot/cold wash racks, (4) cold wash racks, stocks for veterinary treatment, a Hunt Seat and a Western/Therapeutic Tack Room, Separate Boarder Tack Room, team cubby room, team room and offices for barn staff. 4 smaller barns, which consist of (16) 10'x10' matted stalls. A 150'x300' Covered Arena with jumps, a 140'x190' outdoor arena, an enclosed round pen, hot walker, plus 20+ acres of turnout pasture for our horses. We also have a routine farrier available.

Student Stall Board - Main Barn

  • 12'x12' matted stall with fan
  • Stalls cleaned daily with ample bedding
  • Hay (Coastal Bermuda), Grain, and Water twice daily
  • All horses are fed fly preventative supplement March-September
  • Supplements fed through Smartpak (owner provided)
  • Turnout in small groups daily as weather permits
  • Blanketing and Sheeting
  • Arrangements for farrier and veterinary care (owner responsible for bill)
  • Additional charges will apply for any medical treatment needed

Student Stall Board - Little Barns
