Effectively Navigating MyLander

This session will be a brief introduction into MyLander and how to effectively utilize, navigate, and personalize the features available. There will be an overview of MyLander and how it ties Lander University’s ecosystem together. Next, there will be discussion on all the features and how to find them within MyLander. Finally, how to personalize your experience within MyLander will be covered. This session is intended for all faculty and staff.

Blackboard Ultra View Preview

Have you heard the news? We’re moving to Blackboard Ultra View! Ultra View is a fresh new course interface that is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and responsive on all devices, including mobile devices. In this session we will provide a general course walk-through highlighting adding content, managing students, and show you the new Ultra View Gradebook. This session is intended for faculty that are new or have not yet transitioned to Blackboard Ultra View. The presentation will be approximately 30 minutes leaving time for Q & A.

How to Leverage Email Effectively

This session will cover the basics of email management. Depending on the interest and makeup of the group, topics may include how to set up automatic out-of-office replies, when and how to encrypt email messages, how to set up folders to organize your mailbox, how to use inbox rules, and more. We’ll also discuss recognizing and reporting phishing messages. This session is intended for all faculty and staff.

How to Leverage MS Teams Effectively

This broad session will showcase the collaboration capabilities of MS Teams. We will cover collaborative editing with change history, effective communication, automation, Team management, and more. There will be a QA session at the end to provide a more tailored approach to learning the topics that interest the attendees. This session is intended for all faculty and staff.

Effectively Connecting to Network and Wi-Fi

In this session we’ll show you how to effectively connect to Lander’s network to ensure a smooth digital experience in your office, your classrooms, or in public spaces. We’ll walk you through optimal office setups, the differences between Bearcat Guest and Bearcat Wireless, BYOD policies, and the resources we have available to you. This session is intended for all faculty and staff.

How to use OneDrive

This session will introduce the basic structure and power of OneDrive as a backup and convenience tool. We’ll look at how to locate your documents, applying permissions for shared documents, and offer tips for best performance. This session is intended for all faculty and staff.
