Applying for Summer Aid
Summer aid is a separate process from the academic year application process, and requires a separate summer aid application to be completed by the student. Aid for summer sessions is awarded based on unused eligibility from the academic year preceding the summer terms. If you were a full-time student fall and spring semesters, you will not have any remaining Pell Grant eligibility. Your loan eligibility will depend on whether or not you borrowed the annual limit for your grade level during the fall and spring semesters.
To apply for financial aid for summer school:
- Be sure you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the prior Award Year. (example - The 2021-2022 FAFSA would be required for Summer 2022 aid.)
- Summer Aid Applications are available on the Financial Aid Office's Forms Page and in the Financial Aid Office. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received. Applications received within three weeks of the start of the summer term may not be processed prior to the fee payment deadline. The Payment Plan is not available for summer.
Please note:
- In order to be considered for Summer School financial aid, you must be a degree-seeking student at Lander University and you must be enrolling for Summer School at Lander University.
