About Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Delta Mu, Lander University:
Throughout the year, members of the Delta Mu chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. strive to uphold the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood on and off the campus of Lander University. Members of Delta Mu have been recognized as Outstanding Senior of the Year (2017), served as Greek Week Co-Chair (2017), won the Excellence of Service Award at Lander's Greek Life Awards (2019), and also won Best Dance at the Lander University Greek Showcase (2019).
Members of the Delta Mu Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, have hosted various events on the campus of Lander University for its students and community enjoyment. They have held events such as: creating vision boards, activities for March of Dimes, karaoke night, and more. Some educational events they have hosted in means of awareness are: Blu's Clues for domestic violence, mental health tables, premature baby awareness by participating in carrying babies around with premature stories, and STD prevention.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, continues to demonstrate its principles in efforts to strive in the community of Greenwood, and on the campus of Lander University. Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel), March of Dimes, Storks Nest, and health related programming such as breast cancer awareness are a few of the events promoted as an impact on the community. The Delta Mu chapter also has an adopted school, Pinecrest Elementary, where they do community service by reading to the students to demonstrate the principle of service. As a way to better the environment and keep it clean, Delta Mu hosts a bi-annual Adopt-a-Highway cleanup in Greenwood, and volunteers throughout voter registration.
