Greek Week is one of Lander University’s most spirited campus traditions . It is a weeklong celebration of leadership, service, and community among our fraternity and sorority members. Throughout the week, chapters come together to compete in friendly challenges, showcase creativity, and give back through service and philanthropy initiatives.
Events include campus-wide activities such as the Pomp Reveal, Lip Sync Showdown, and Greek Tabling, along with opportunities for collaboration and outreach that highlight what it means to be part of Lander’s Greek community. Greek Week is designed to strengthen unity among chapters, celebrate our shared values, and engage the entire Bearcat community in the fun.

Monday, October 19
Greek Tabling
11 AM | Plaza
Kick off Greek Week by meeting the Lander Greeks! Organizations will be tabling in the Plaza, sharing information about their sorority/fraternity, service projects, and more!
Greek Pomp & Banner Reveal
5:30 PM | Grier Student Center Commons
The Pomp Reveal is the highly anticipated showcase of creativity, unity, and artistic talent. During this event, each organization will unveil their completed pomped bases, which are the result of countless hours of teamwork, dedication, and spirit.
Greek Kickball Tournament
7 PM | New Res Hall Field
Come out to cheer on your favorite Greeks! In a bracket-style kickball competition, teams compete to score the most runs.
Tuesday, October 20
Field Hockey Tailgate & Spirit Night
4 PM | Emerald High School
Time to celebrate our Lander teams! Come out for a tailgate with good food, music, games and plenty of time to hang out before the game. Bring your chapter and get ready to cheer on the Lander Field Hockey team as they take on Wingate!
Wednesday, October 21
Greek Trivia Night
7 PM | Centennial Hall Field
A Jeopardy-style trivia competition featuring categories on Greek Life at Lander, Lander University history, Disney, current pop culture and Greek Week history at Lander. Participants should be familiar with these topics.
Greek Week Bonfire
9 PM | Centennial Hall Fire Pit
Join us for a night by the fire to relax and connect with the Greek community. S’mores and drinks will be provided. Come hang out, enjoy the atmosphere and celebrate the week together.
Thursday, October 22
Greek Showcase Showoff
8 PM | Abney Cultural Center Auditorium
Join us for the final battle of Greek Week. Organizations will compete in the annual lip sync battle, bringing energy, creativity and stage presence. Each team may partner with another student org of their choice to level up their performance and rep campus unity.
Friday, October 23
Greek Media Day
10 AM | Front Lawn
Chapters will have the opportunity to take official photos during Media Day. Time slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Greek Gala
6 PM | Inn on the Square
A formal evening to celebrate the end of Greek Week with dinner, drinks, and community. Awards will be presented and the overall winner of Greek Week will be announced. A beer and wine bar will be available for guests 21 and over. Dress to impress!
