To ensure our tutors can meet your needs at your desired time, appointments are highly recommended. Scheduling an appointment guarantees that you will receive the help you need at your convenience. However, our tutors will take walk-in's if they have no scheduled appointments. If you walk in and no tutors can assist you, they will direct you to make an appointment online for a time that works for both of you.
To make an appointment with the Writing Center go to https://lander.mywconline.com/ and follow the login prompts on the left side of the screen. Use your school email address and password. If this is your first-time using WC Online, follow the prompted steps for setting up your student profile. When you’ve logged in, select “Writing Center” from the “Schedules” drop-down menu at the top left side of the screen. Select any open time slot (the white squares) during a convenient time for you with the tutor of your choice (even though not all our tutors share your degree or major, they are all well trained and equipped to handle any writing problems or concerns you may have). A separate webpage titled “Create New Appointment” will pop up. Make sure to fill this screen out as fully as possible. Click “create appointment” at the bottom of the screen. The system will inform you that you have successfully created an appointment and you can close the pop-up. You’re all set, and we’ll see you soon!
If you have issues logging in to the system, please contact ITS.
When you’ve successfully created an appointment, your time slot will turn yellow. Click on the yellow box. This will reopen your appointment page. Simply scroll to the bottom and click the red “Cancel Appointment” box at the bottom of the screen. The system will inform you that you have successfully cancelled your appointment and you can close the pop-up.
To reschedule an appointment, cancel your original appointment first. Then make a new appointment at your desired time and with your preferred tutor. If you’d like more specific information, please read the “How do I make an appointment” tab above.
